Understanding Your Child’s IEP
An Individualized Education Program (IEP) is a legal plan designed to support your child’s unique learning needs. If your child qualifies, we’ll help you understand:
-
How the IEP process works—from evaluations to meetings.
-
Your role as an equal team member and advocate for your child.
-
The types of services and supports available, like accommodations, modifications, therapies, and assistive technology.
-
How goals are set, monitored, and adjusted to ensure your child makes progress.
-
Your rights as a parent, and what steps to take if you disagree with the school.
Our goal is to make the IEP process less overwhelming, empowering you to confidently partner with schools and get the right support in place for your child.
